Capt. Al Keller fishes where the big fish are. If he’s not fishing his home waters — Florida’s picturesque and fish-filled waters surrounding 10,000 Islands — he’s sight-casting to Louisiana’s monster redfish. By splitting his time between Florida and the marshes of Mississippi and Louisiana, Al gives his clients the best opportunity to find big snook, redfish and tarpon in some of the Southeast’s most scenic and historic locations.  For snook, plan on fishing the coastal beaches and backcountry bays along Florida’s beautiful southwest coast. Snook make great targets on fly year-round, but feed most aggressively during the warmer months starting in July and running through November. If you live to cast a fly to a tailing redfish, hold some dates in your calendar to fish the redfish bite in both Florida and Louisiana. The redfish action runs year-round in Florida, but when the monster reds show up in coastal Louisiana waters from December through February, Al moves to the bayou to take advantage of this amazing action. And if it’s tarpon you seek, the Boca Grande, Florida, fishery from May through July is just too good to pass up. During this time of year, you can fish for giant tarpon in the pass or work the shallower waters and beaches. The opportunities are endless, and rest assured, Al will do whatever he can to find you a trophy.
